Happy Holidays From Our OneDigital Family To Yours

In the employee benefits industry, the holiday season always tends to be a stressful time of the year, with nearly 40% of all employer group contracts maintaining a renewal date of January 1st. Due to this volume, our teams work tirelessly around the clock to go above and beyond for the people we serve.

Although it may seem stressful during the moment, this year our issues seem minimal when compared to the events occurring around the world. As one looks at domestic and world events, the combination of climate change, international and domestic terrorism, immigration, the economy and higher education, there certainly is no shortage of things to be concerned about. It is easy to become overwhelmed with some level of fear and/or anxiety over the state of the country, the world or the planet; and tempting to feel some level of isolation and helplessness.

It is moments like these when I think we can all benefit by focusing on and nurturing the things that we can control – our relationships with family, friends and colleagues. To that end, last week we hosted our first annual “Night of Wine: A Client Appreciation Experience” attended by 100+ clients and team members. Our guests were treated to a holiday wine tasting event and sampled wines from regions all over the world.

Part of the night’s festivities included the culmination of our month-long toy drive. In the spirit of giving back, we asked our honored guests to help support our ongoing campaign for Toys for Tots. The generosity of our clients and our employees was extraordinary. It was remarkable to see the OneDigital Hartford team and our clients come together for such a great cause. Our Night of Wine was a welcomed respite from world events as we gathered to connect with longtime clients or establish new friendships. It was energizing to watch the crowd break bread; laugh and share a cup of much needed cheer.

In addition to celebrating our client relationships, this time of year, we take an entire week to celebrate our own people. This week kicks off our annual week of “Give, Care, Share.” Each day we will host separate events that include -- a waffle breakfast; a cookie swap; a catered lunch; an “Elf yourself” dress-up contest and finally, a holiday themed happy hour. Each year, this week serves as a reminder of just how much we all mean to each other.

As we wrap up 2015, I look back and realize how grateful I am for the group of people that comprise the OneDigital Hartford family, and am truly thankful for the time we spend together. From our family to yours, we wish that you find the time (or make the time) to spend as much as possible with those who are important in your life.

We wish you a joyous holiday season, and a very happy new year!
