Look Out, Here Comes North Carolina!!

In the United States, where there’s so much going on and each state has its own set of issues and goals, you might have forgotten about one that is definitely worth mentioning – North Carolina.

In particular, Raleigh (Wake County) has risen to become one of the nation’s fastest-growing, family-oriented and prolific cities in the U.S. It’s no wonder that OneDigital has made Raleigh a main productive hub for financial growth and expansion within its OneDigital division. Not to mention, the rest of the state’s cities, including: Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Wilmington, Asheville and Greensboro, aren't doing so badly either.

People from North Carolina take pride in their southern charm and eager way of living, plus the terrain of the state is also quite beautiful. However, besides all that, North Carolina's economy has undergone a transition from heavy reliance upon tobacco, textiles and furniture making to a more diversified economy with engineering, energy, biotechnology and finance sectors. The educational opportunities are also great with well-known and respected universities such as Duke, UNC (Tar Heels), Winston-Salem and Wake Forest, just to name a few. As far as OneDigital’s reach into the state of North Carolina, we are expanding with great success by incorporating a local office that has merged four of the best brokerage firms together in Raleigh.

Wally Dawson – managing principal and board member of the Raleigh Chamber and NCAHU, leads our hub office along with George Ramsay, Scot Finch, Henry Stewart, Tom Snell and other talented brokers that are gaining momentum around the state. Altogether, these brokers offer over 100 years of health insurance experience and are all well-known in their communities. Together, they have already succeeded in establishing new clients/revenue, retaining current clients and helping OneDigital grow its overall brand in the health market. Our exposure to the public and having our feet on the street has made a huge difference. The OneDigital team also looks to recruit other brokerage firms to join the team if they possess the right blend of a successful track-record, winning attitude, great work ethic and the desire to want to grow beyond limitations.

Since Jan.1, Wake County Economic Development has had eight new projects and four project visits. Wake County has had nine announcements of companies moving or expanding to the area creating 425 jobs and investing more than $22 million.
