MA Paid Family and Medical Leave Law

In July of 2018, the Governor signed the MA Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) into law making MA the seventh state to implement state-mandated paid family and medical leave law.

As with all laws, it starts as a framework with the basic tenets of what the law needs to accomplish. From there, department agencies write the specific regulations necessary to implement the law.
