MEET THE PANEL:

Peter Murphy counsels private employers and non-profit organizations daily on the full range of issues affecting their workplaces. He helps employers mitigate risk and improve workplace conditions by providing preventative trainings on topics such as sexual harassment prevention, professionalism in the workplace, FMLA compliance, navigating leave issues, and legal overviews for supervisors. In addition, he conducts investigations into alleged incidents of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct in the workplace. Peter currently serves as a fact-finder, arbitrator, and attorney trial referee in the Connecticut Superior Court, and as a Contributing Editor for the nationally distributed Litigation News magazine published by the American Bar Association.

Nicole Cahill is an experienced HR professional who prides herself on being a true generalist in the field. Specifically, Nicole’s background includes employee relations, training and development, full cycle recruitment and onboarding programs, employee engagement and retention management, best practices and compliance. Nicole also is experienced in assisting in the development, recommendation, and implementation of personnel policies and procedures. She is dedicated to maintaining client relationships built on quality, service, and ethics while delivering tangible results in pursuit of organizational objectives.

Jeff Cross is the Director of Client Services at OneDigital Connecticut. He has been in the insurance/employee benefits arena for over 23 years, with the majority of his career in various underwriting leadership roles for a number of health insurance carriers. He brings expertise in risk analysis and management, underwriting and pricing, alternative funding arrangements, creative benefit designs driving value-based care, and wellness and consumer engagement strategies. His intimate knowledge of insurance carriers’ underwriting and pricing practices drives negotiation leverage on behalf of his clients.
