OneDigital COVID-19 Health Cost Impact Tool Spotlighted by Human Resource Executive

With so much information related to the pandemic coming out daily, it can be challenging for employers to digest and interpret the data as it relates to their specific situation.

However, understanding the impact of coronavirus on benefits and health costs remains an unknown and potentially huge responsibility for employers. It’s that much more critical for businesses to be able to analyze what the increase might be to make more informed decisions for the business in the short and long-term.

OneDigital recently released the COVID-19 Health Plan Cost Impact Tool, a proprietary tool that helps employers find the potential financial impact on their health plans. Human Resource Executive highlights how this predictive modeling tool works, in the recent article, “Coronavirus Resource Spotlight: OneDigital’s Health Cost Tool.” By measuring the frequency and severity of COVID-19 cases within an employer’s unique population and geography and forecasting expected instances of infection and hospitalization and the dollar amounts associated with each.

This tool is unique in its ability to draw upon data sets being provided daily from the CDC, federal, state and local agencies and over 15 additional health insurance, healthcare and actuarial sources.
