OneDigital New England Raises Over $34k for Local Non-Profits

Signature Fundraising Event Becomes Virtual, Proceeds Distributed to Local Nonprofits

OneDigital, the nation’s leading strategic advisory firm focused on driving business growth for employers of all sizes, hosted the 12th annual OneDigital Dash fundraiser virtually, on Monday, October 26, through Sunday, November 1.

Since 2009, OneDigital has held the Digital Dash 5k in Atlanta, GA, the location of company headquarters. In response to the national pandemic, the decision was made to host a virtual event, allowing for national participation and over 700 participants joined efforts nationally, logging activity over the one-week span.

Having the opportunity to take part in the Digital Dash this year as a region was exciting. Our teams were able to come together in a unique way to show up for our non-profit customers and continue the tradition started 12 years ago in Atlanta. This year has really taken a toll on many fundraising efforts that these organizations rely so heavily on so to be able to come together in a safe manner and provide crucial funds for them to continue to support their communities was very rewarding.” - Brian Driscoll, Regional Managing Principal, New England

In New England, the event alone raised a total of $34,866 for 4 nonprofit organizations: Foodshare, Feeding Chittenden, Till Inc and the HBCU Foundation. The support from those who participated and sponsored allows these organizations to continue to serve their communities and fulfil their mission in a year when they need it most.

In a nimble response to the imposing global pandemic, and a thoughtful decision to take their live, annual OneDigital Dash event virtual, OneDigital accepted the challenge and rallied in support of affected communities and as a result of the tremendous generosity of supporters, this year's effort ensures that a deserving student's dream of completing their college education will go realized. We can't thank you enough!"  — Daniel Moss, CEO, HBCU Foundation

About Foodshare

Foodshare is Greater Hartford’s regional food bank, connecting surplus food to our network of more than 260 partner food pantries, meal programs and Mobile Foodshare sites. We work year-round to raise awareness about hunger in our community and how we can all help make a difference. Last year, Foodshare distributed enough food for nearly 14 million meals.

About Feeding Chittenden

Founded in 1974, Feeding Chittenden was launched as the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. This new organization was created to fight hunger and food insecurity faced by households throughout Chittenden County in Vermont. The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf initially operated a small pantry program that provided a three-day supply of groceries once per month to a few dozen families.

In response to a growing need for hunger relief services over the years, we have relocated twice to larger sites, including our 1994 move into our current location. Following this latest move to 228 North Winooski Avenue in Burlington, Feeding Chittenden began serving hot meals every weekday and significantly expanded the support and outreach programming we offer in the community. Today, Feeding Chittenden serves more than 12,000 people each year through a variety of programs.
