OneDigital Summer Internship Participants Awarded Scholarships for Significant Contributions and Excellence

Abigail Burleson and Alexandra Chapdelaine Receive Prestigious Academic Scholarships

Atlanta, GA - October 8, 2021 – OneDigital, the nation’s leading insurance brokerage, financial services and HR consulting firm, announces recipients of two scholarships awarded to participants of the 2021 Summer Internship Program.

Intern of the Summer Scholarship in Memory of Former OneDigital Employee Mat Bazzichi

Abigail Burleson was awarded OneDigital’s Intern of the Summer Scholarship, named this year to honor the legacy of Mat Bazzichi, former Business Development Executive at OneDigital and carry it forward to future generations of interns.

The Intern of the Summer scholarship was created to highlight one outstanding student who has exhibited exceptional performance and extraordinary skill and has contributed to the organization. Through this program, OneDigital is able to provide a source of financial support and encouragement to interns as they pursue academic and professional careers.

The values that I see in the team at OneDigital help to make up a unique company culture. I can attest that every colleague that I interacted with represented the value drivers and contributed to a strong company culture. Interning with OneDigital was truly an incredible experience and something that has profoundly impacted my professional career. Not only was I able to learn and develop my skills within the industry, but I was also able to grow and develop personally.

In 2021, the Intern of the Summer Scholarship was named in memory of Business Development Executive, Mat Bazzichi. Mat was a member of the OneDigital family in Richmond, Virginia, for over five years and tragically passed away this past June. He will be remembered most for his dedication to living out the values of OneDigital, his warm greetings, big smiles and willingness to lend a hand. As a part of the 2021 scholarship review process, each intern was asked how they, too, embody the values of OneDigital.

The application process included responding to three essay questions, submitting a nomination letter from either their internship manager or assigned mentor and current college transcript and review of overall participation in the Summer Internship Program.

The Council Foundation Scholarship

Alexandra Chapdelaine was honored with The Council Foundation Scholarship, a program that honors candidates with the potential to be leaders and contributors to the industry post-graduation.
