Executives representing more than 60 Hartford-area companies joined the OneDigital Hartford team for a thought leadership event last week. The event was the third in the organization’s Chief Executive Series which takes place in May and November each year. The focus was on “Emerging Market Forces in the New World of Connecticut Health Plans” and featured a panel of leaders from Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, HealthyCT, ProHealth Physicians and Rogers Benefit Group. OneDigital Hartford Managing Principals Bill Carew and Brian Driscoll acted as panel moderators.
The event content focuses on new information key for chief executives as they build their health plan design strategy for the coming years. Each event is designed to feel like a conversation between the attendees and the speakers—a true conversation between business leaders that includes the employer, provider and carrier perspective. These conversations have included the economics behind changes in the market; thriving in the face of health care reform and looking at benefit plan design as a crucial part of the overall business strategy.
This is the third time the event has been held at Hartford’s Society Room—a stunning venue complete with white floral arrangement, top shelf open bar and fantastic passed appetizers. From the valet parking to the jazz to the 30 foot high marble columns sweeping up to a hand painted ceiling—the event is dramatic and unforgettable.
To thank the panelists, which included Mickey Herbert, Ken Lalime, Jack Reed and Jeff Hogan—OneDigital Hartford made a donation in their name to the Malta House of Care, a local non-profit that provides healthcare to Hartford’s uninsured. To learn more or to donate visit maltahouseofcare.org.
