About the Event

Regardless of the impact of the pandemic, the Connecticut Paid Family & Medical Leave law is on track to begin contributions January 1, 2021. Are you prepared?

Keeping track of state legislation, as well as national leave trends, is essential to better support your employees as paid family leave becomes more and more complex. According to the EEOC, the average cost of defending a family medical leave lawsuit is $78,000, and if found guilty of wrongful termination, damages can range from $87,000 to $450,000.

Sandwiched between New York and Massachusetts, we've seen how intricate the process can be which is why it's important to get ahead of the curve now to be better prepared with what's to come with Connecticut Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML). Please join us for our upcoming webinar on Thursday, September 24th at 9:00 AM EST as we cover the law and crucial next steps for businesses to ensure compliance and contain costs.

In this session, we will discuss:

  • Overview of the Connecticut Paid Family & Medical Leave (CT PFML)
  • Difference Between MA, CT and NY Leave Laws
  • Impact on Current Leave Policies (including short-term disability)
