FMLA & Leave of Absences: Understanding FMLA Eligibility and Employer Obligations

The overall purpose of the FMLA is to mandate that certain large employers provide a balance between the demands of the workplace and the needs of families by providing job-protected, unpaid leave to eligible employees.
During this session you will learn:
FLMA Basics:
- What is the Family Medical Leave Act?
- Who is or is not impacted
- When is an employee eligible
- Military provisions added in 2009

- Implications in the work place
- A review of some typical situations or “What if” situations
