Tara is a senior human resources consultant with over 20+ years of operations and human resources management experience. She partners with CEO’s, COO’s and other business leaders to build and execute timely, unique and competitive human resources strategies to support business goals. As a trusted leader and adviser, Tara has a passion for understanding critical business and operational challenges and fostering the development and execution of unique, innovative solutions in collaboration with key leaders and stakeholders. Tara has spent the majority of her career perusing her passion of working with global organizations undergoing rapid change and involved with or seeking an IPO or M&A opportunities. She began her career at CNN’s Washington, DC news bureau and then in human resources. Most recently, as past head of human resources for BSA | The Software Alliance, a global trade association serving software leaders where she developed and drove the implementation of innovative HR programs, services and initiatives in U.S., Asia-Pacific region and Europe during a time of evolution and change. Tara managed and led global programs, compliance, reorganizations and staff changes in Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Russia and Turkey. She also led a team through a multi-phased global HR automation project to simplify processes and leverage technology solutions, globally aligned policies, programs and processes and established an annual employee engagement & satisfaction survey used to implement changes supporting cultural and workplace satisfaction objectives.
Prior to working with BSA, Tara served in as the Vice President of Human Resources at software, investment and telecommunications companies where she led human resources strategy and operations, designed and implemented pre-IPO strategies and served on several M&A due diligence and integration teams.
Tara holds B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University–Bloomington and two professional certifications - Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and Society for Human Resources Management -Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She has served on the Board of Directors for Dress for Success Washington, D.C. and is a member of The Federation of International Employers (FedEE, based in London), the HR Leadership Forum and other organizations focused on advancing the field of human resource management.
