The OneDigital culture is all about working as a team, for a team – whether it be our clients, co-workers or community partners. Having the ability to replace a workday in the office for a workday in the community allows us to maintain an invested and personal connection with the organizations we support.
This month, a group from our Corporate, Alpharetta and Lawrenceville offices took the day to volunteer at Camp Twin Lakes. One of the two main organizations we support, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) partners with Camp Twin Lakes. Camp Twin Lakes has 3 different locations across Georgia and serves more than 10,000 campers annually. The majority, if not all, of the children who attend these camps have been treated at CHOA at some point in time. A portion of the funds that we raise from our annual charity 5k road race, The Digital Dash, are donated to CHOA’s four main summer camps, which are held at Camp Twin Lakes. This summer, we are able to send 25 kids to camp from our 2016 Dash donation.
About 25 employees spread mulch, cleaned the campers’ cabins, installed solar lights, and more. It’s crunch time for the camp coordinators and staff. There were some big projects that still needed to be completed before the campers arrived, and we were able to help do so.
It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that we were able to take that weight off the staff’s shoulders so they can focus on what’s important – the first round of campers and making sure they have a life-changing experience. — Brittany Floyd, Talent & Engagement Coordinator
