While open enrollment is designed to help employees elect their health insurance options, it is also a pivotal time for employers to ensure they effectively communicate all that they have to offer for their workforce and share resources to help employees make the best decisions.

Employers are always striving to provide their employees with an exceptional benefits experience, but oftentimes, they are not always sure the investments they are making are the ones that actually matter to their workforce. This gap in value perception is causing organizations to spend their budget in places that may not be driving value to their people.

Some employers are closing the perception gap by using surveys to gather specific workforce data and address individual challenges. Programs are being implemented based on direct employee feedback, and not just benchmarks.
