David Ito

Chief Compliance Officer of OneDigital, David Ito is vital to OneDigital’s sustained growth in the Wealth Divison. He is immersed in the precision of important details. David approaches each day with the goal of maintaining OneDigital’s reputation of excellence.

David has devoted his career to regulatory compliance. Before joining OneDigital, he began his professional career as a Securities Compliance Examiner for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Over an 11-year tenure with the SEC, David served in a variety of roles, including Staff Accountant, Branch Chief, and Assistant Regional Director in the Los Angeles Regional Office of the SEC. In these roles, David examined and supervised examinations of organizations with distinctive complexity. These organizations included investment advisers, investment companies, transfer agents, variable insurance products, and mutual fund administrators.

In 2011, David leveraged this experience to provide consulting services to investment advisers and private fund managers in order to meet all of their regulatory compliance needs. David then served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Vellum Financial in 2014, one of two firms that merged to form WealthSource Partners. In 2024, David joined OneDigital after OneDigital’s acquisition of WealthSource.

In 1994, David received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. He then went on to receive Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of California, Davis.

David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, camping and fishing, watching science fiction and playing video and board games.
