About

Hunter Vaccaro serves as a Client Executive in the Construction Practice at OneDigital's San Diego office, where he focuses on P&C risk management for general contractors and subcontractors across the Southwest. He works with clients ranging from owner-operators running lean crews to mid-market GCs navigating complex multi-prime projects. His goal is straightforward: build a risk program that actually fits the business and one that holds up when something goes wrong.

Hunter's path into insurance started with two years as a financial analyst at JTaylor Advisory, where he specialized in transaction due diligence, business valuations, and risk identification across multiple industries including insurance groups. That foundation carried directly into a brokerage career that includes roles at Crest Insurance Group and USI Insurance Services, where he spent three years as a Vice President before joining OneDigital in 2025. Over the course of his career, Hunter has written over $2M in annual premiums and helped clients reduce their total insurance spend by as much as 55% year over year. He holds a P&C license, surplus lines authority, and the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) designation, and earned his B.B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from Texas Christian University where he graduated magna cum laude.

What sets Hunter apart is how he frames the problem. Rather than arriving at renewal with a quote, he comes with a framework by analyzing loss runs the way an analyst reads a financial statement, stress-testing coverage against actual contract language, and modeling total cost of risk across lines such as workers' comp, general liability, auto, umbrella, inland marine, cyber, pollution, and builder's risk. Outside of work, Hunter is involved with Light Church in Encinitas and Santa Fe Christian Schools, the community where he grew up — a reflection of the same values he brings to every client relationship.
