Joe Christianson

Joe Christianson serves as an Investment Consultant with OneDigital Financial Services, where he focuses on supporting retirement plan clients through thoughtful analysis and clear communication. His work includes conducting comprehensive evaluations of investment options, with attention to asset allocation, performance, and fees, and translating those findings into practical insights for clients and advisors. He also identifies emerging investment trends and opportunities, framing them in a way that can be meaningfully understood within the context of retirement plans. Through this approach, he contributes to informed decision-making and helps organizations navigate the complexities of plan oversight.

Joe’s perspective is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to retire with dignity and to be treated with respect, regardless of their stage in life or career. He is guided by the sentiment captured in Jackie Robinson’s epitaph—“A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives”—which shapes how he approaches both his professional responsibilities and client relationships. Joe has worked in financial services since 2005, with a dedicated focus on retirement plans since 2014. Prior to joining OneDigital, he most recently served as Director of Reporting and Participant Outcomes at AssuredPartners Investment Advisors.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Houston and also attended the University of Iowa College of Law. Joe earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation in 2011. Based in Houston, Texas, he brings both analytical rigor and a commitment to ongoing learning to his work in the retirement plan space.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Joe has completed five marathons and four ultramarathons, an accomplishment made more meaningful by being born with a congenital heart defect. He also devoted four years to learning to speak Italian and fulfilled a long-standing goal in 2026 by taking his best friend to attend both the men’s and women’s Olympic hockey gold medal games.
