John Lavvas

John Lavvas is a Client Executive on OneDigital's Property & Casualty team in Chicago, with 25 years of insurance and risk management experience and two deep industry specializations: construction and the food industry. 

For contractors — from specialty trades to large general contractors — John focuses on the details that most agents overlook: payroll classification audits that prevent costly year-end surprises, additional insured requirement reviews, subcontractor risk transfer programs, and workers' compensation program design. 

For food industry clients — including distributors, manufacturers, and grocery operations — he addresses high-frequency blind spots like fleet coverage gaps, product recall exclusions, spoilage limits, and equipment breakdown coverage. 

His approach is the same regardless of client size: understand the business deeply, find what's costing money, and fix it before a claim forces the conversation. 

John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business.
