Susan Albano

Susan Albano began her career in healthcare as a molecular biologist studying leukocyte function in various patient populations.  After receiving her MBA she pursued an administrative path initially as a strategic planning associate at Hartford Hospital in Hartford CT.  Susan went on to become the Vice President of Planning at MidSate Medical Center in Meriden CT where she was responsible for the merger of two hospitals and the planning and development of a new 120 bed inpatient and ambulatory facility.  She went on to lead the initial integration efforts for their parent corporation, Hartford HealthCare.

After more than twenty five years in facility based roles, Susan moved on to physician practice management joining Women’s Health USA as the Vice President of Business Development.  There she was responsible for the growth and development of a 50 physician OB-GYN practice on Long Island. She subsequently took the positon she now holds as Chief Executive Officer of Prime HealthCare, PC.  Prime HealthCare is an innovative, 70-provider multispecialty group with offices throughout the greater Hartford CT area.  Over the past several years Prime has reinvented itself to effectively practice in a value-based healthcare environment.

Aside from her stewardship of Prime HealthCare, Susan is involved in international charity work traveling frequently on cultural exchange and relief missions throughout the world.
