James is an investment adviser at OneDigital. With over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, he is skilled in capital market expectations, portfolio allocation, cash management and lending solutions, estate and legacy planning, and mergers and acquisitions. James works with both institutional and private clients to help them manage their excess capital, short-, and long-term goals.
In 2020, James enlisted in the United States Army, subsequently commissioned in 2021 as an engineering officer, where he is currently leading a combat engineering and infantry platoon. His mission is to ensure soldier readiness, morale, and mission-essential tasks are accomplished. His soldiers' mission is both breaching and fortification. James is responsible for est. $10 million in government property and 50 soldiers.
Prior to joining OneDigital, James was an investment analyst with AIG, where he specialized in market research, portfolio construction, asset allocation, strategic product design, and M&A research. Prior to AIG, James spent time with Charles Schwab, Truist, Allstate, and TAG Resources.
James serves on the Board of Unique Individuals, serving families of special needs children and building a community where disabilities cease to exist.
James graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level III Candidate with the CFA Institute, and he holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Outside of the office, he is heavily involved with National Ski Patrol and Buckhead Church.
