About the Event
In the months following the Healthcare.gov open enrollment period, employers began to receive notices regarding employees who enrolled in coverage via the Health Insurance Marketplace and were approved for a tax credit on the basis that his or her employer did not offer affordable, minimum value coverage. For employers that did in fact offer affordable coverage to an employee that received a tax credit, it is important to follow the right steps to appeal.
During this session, attendees will learn:
- Purpose of the Marketplace Appeal Notice
- Steps to Take Upon Receiving a Marketplace Appeal Notice
- Timing for Responding to a Marketplace Appeal Notice
- How to Respond to a Marketplace Appeal Notice
- What Information to Include When Drafting a Response
