About
Corey Van Houten, Esq. is a client executive at OneDigital, a national team of experienced, local employee benefits advisers. He provides clients with strategic solutions to help reduce both their healthcare costs and enhance their employee’s perception of benefits value and negotiates insurance contracts on behalf of mid-size and large companies.
Prior to joining OneDigital, Corey practiced law for nearly five years in Newport Beach, California for two regional law firms. During this time, he represented both large and mid-size companies, as well as individuals, in commercial real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions and employment law matters. In connection with his practice, he negotiated and completed over 250 million dollars’ worth of real estate and business transactions, including the purchase and sale of an international technology company. He now brings his negotiation savvy and legal experience to OneDigital to help his clients reduce their healthcare costs and understand the many complexities of employee benefits.
Before passing the California bar exam and starting private practice, Corey was a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, owned a personal training business, and taught group fitness classes. This passion for health and fitness was one of the main draws for Corey coming to OneDigital. In his spare time, he plays a lot of golf and tries to maintain his scratch handicap. Corey received his J.D. from Santa Clara University and his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
