David Montgomery is the Senior Vice President of OneDigital Investment Fiduciary Services (IFS), which provides outsourced ERISA 3(38) Investment Management and ERSIA 3(21) Investment Advisory services to plan sponsors in partnership with non-fiduciary plan consultants and recordkeepers and has a specialty in providing 3(38) fiduciary services to Pooled Employer Plans (PEPs). Prior to being acquired by OneDigital, David was the Co-Founder & President of Fidelis Fiduciary Management, which was rebranded to OneDigital Investment Fiduciary Services in 2022. David is also a Vice President for OneDigital Retirement Services, where he provides full-service retirement plan consulting.
David entered the retirement planning field in 2005. He joined Montgomery Retirement Plan Advisors after working for a major financial services firm developing tailored investment solutions for high-net-worth clients. Shortly after joining Montgomery Advisors, he Co-Founded a sister firm, Fidelis Fiduciary Management. From 2016 – 2021 David was named a “Top Plan Advisor Under 40” by the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), and in 2018-2020 he was name to the Financial Times Top 401 Retirement Plan Advisors list.
David sits on the Retirement Investment Strategy Council (RISC) Team, a dedicated investment-focused team with diversified investment backgrounds and areas of expertise. Among other duties, the RISC team conducts on average two due diligence meetings per week with many Lead Portfolio Managers, generates and maintains due diligence on their preferred investment list, produces market commentary and timely client updates as necessary, and shares insights on investment updates.
