Shaun is a talented professional with over 35 years of accumulated expertise and knowledge in Health and Welfare. He possesses a deep understanding of cost reduction processes and is skilled in deploying them. He has designed multiple financial strategies that advantage the employer in mitigating cost and risk, including some so advanced that they earned U.S. patent approval. In addition to his skill in negotiating cost reductions, Shaun is a master in the design and implementation of benefit plans especially Health, Disability, and LOA plans. He has designed and managed hundreds over his career ranging from simple to highly sophisticated.

Shaun began his career as a Health and Disability Underwriter for The Paul Revere Insurance Companies, formerly located in Worcester, MA. Shaun was a Health, Life, and Disability Underwriter, then Market Representative for The Canada Life Assurance Company of Toronto, Ontario, providing support to their Northeast U.S. markets. Shaun is a classically trained insurance underwriter and risk analyst. He honed this skill while working for both the Paul Revere and Canada Life Assurance companies. In 1990 he founded East Coast Benefit Plans, Inc (ECBP) an employer focused benefits consultancy that supported middle to large sized employers in highly sophisticated financial negotiations with their insurance plan providers. In his time in the industry Shaun has provided insightful financial analysis to hundreds of large employers, including Fortune 500 companies, many large Health Care Systems, and large multi-state Non-Profit Institutions. Shaun served as President of ECBP from 1990 until 2017, when the firm was acquired by One Digital. He presently serves as a Principal for One Digital and specializes in advanced funding strategies such as Value Based Benefits, ICHRA, Specialty Rx Funding Alternatives, and Health Intelligence Analytics, that guide improved health outcomes and lower health plan costs.

Shaun holds a B.A from Colgate University. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has provided course instruction on Employee Benefits at Northeastern University and the University of Massachusetts. He has published papers and articles on a multitude of topics related to Human Resources and Health and Welfare Plans. Most of all he is a passionate student of the industry and a fierce and tireless advocate for his clients
