OneDigital Reduces Pay Gap for Black Employees, Achieves Compensation Parity for New Hires Across All Races and Expands Leadership Accountability in DEI&B Efforts

“Many Voices, OneDigital” 2023 Report data demonstrates leadership in creating a culture of belonging

ATLANTA, GA – April 16, 2023 – OneDigital, the nation’s leading insurance brokerage, financial services and HR consulting firm, has released its annual Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI&B) report with data showing significant progress across its inclusion and belonging focus areas: learning and coaching, assessment and transparency, growing our team, social responsibility and giving.

In 2023, OneDigital advanced several key DEI&B initiatives in key areas, including:

  • Reduced the racial pay gap between Black and white employees from 14% to less than 5% in the past 12 months.
  • Achieved 100% base pay parity for new hires across all races. Base pay for underrepresented minority new hires in 2023 was at or above white employees for similar roles.
  • Added four new Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) focused on early career professionals, Black women, veterans and military families, and neurodiversity.
  • Welcomed seven women- and minority-owned businesses to OneDigital in 2022-2023 through its mergers and acquisitions strategy.
  • Presented hiring managers with diverse candidate slates over 85% of the time, which has increased every year since 2021.
  • Raised over $225,000 in charitable donations nationwide through the annual DASH campaign with 50% of proceeds going to DEI&B organizations and initiatives and contributed over $2.2 million in total giving to our local communities.

We have all seen the way that the words “diversity,” “equity” and “inclusion” stir in people a powerful reaction, positive or negative with no in-between. The irony is that this is the complete opposite of DEI&B’s true intention — to remove labels and bring people together.
