Matt Moraski Shares Tips for Open Enrollment with News Channel 5
Open enrollment can often be an overwhelming process. But as the season gets underway, there are some simple tips to help ease the stress during benefits selection.
We’ve all been there, receiving your open enrollment materials from your employer and feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin. But Matt Moraski, Senior Managing Principal of OneDigital Tennessee, says to take advantage of it, as it is your only chance to make changes to your health plan for you and your family for the rest of the year. In a recent interview with Nashville’s News Channel 5, Moraski shares a few tips for how to make the most of your open enrollment.
This is a very busy season, but it’s the one time of year that can really influence and impact the other 364 days of the year. There are a lot of opportunities to leverage your benefits that your insurance companies and vendors have now included in your program, including soft benefits and employer-provided 401k plans and tax-deferred benefits.

One tip Moraski provides is to make sure you update your beneficiaries. If there is ever a life event, your beneficiaries on paper will receive the benefits you’ve left for them, so be sure to consider the person you have listed and update if it has changed.
