Workplace Gender Bias: HR Strategies For Change

Discrimination in the workplace, particularly surrounding gender and age, has been around for as long as most of us can remember. When you add age to the mix, sometimes it feels like we are walking through quicksand in our efforts to ensure equality.

Harvard Business Review recently conducted a survey of 913 female leaders in four different industries. The findings were surprising to many in that ageist behavior was not necessarily directed at one generation over another. In another survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in 2017, 42% of working women in the United States say they have faced gender-based job discrimination.
